neely g festival 2016

R10 Venue, New Brunswick

Welcome to the website of The Neely G Festival of Music

Held annually in the memory of our beloved Neely Gillcrist, who we lost at such a young age, the Neely G Festival of Music will feature the best of Folk, Blues, Roots, Celtic, Country and Bluegrass music for 3 fabulous days on 15, 16, and 17 July 2016 and we would love to have you join us there. The Festival will be held on the 5 Stages of the beautiful woodland setting of the magnificent purpose built facility at R10 Venue in Long Creek just a short hop, skip and jump away from Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada. For this year we have installed a tent ground facility at R10 Venue which we hope will be of great convenience to our patrons. We are also offering free car parking as well as a reserved parking option to ensure your space which can be booked through the website for a small fee.

The Neely G Festival of Music planted its musical roots at last year’s Festival and this year sees it coming of age. It was a celebration of all that Neely held dear and this year will be an effervescent and magical journey. We are greatly honoured by the support and advice we have received from our friends in the music industry and we carry this in our hearts as we continue on this road of evolution. We are comforted by the wonderful people who travelled from across the globe and from across the road to attend last year and by their warm congratulatory comments and desire to visit us again this year. We are more than delighted to see them all again.

At The Neely G Festival of Music we attempt to weave a tapestry that embraces many aspects of life and music. Neely, in her short life, was all about the lessons of the road of life that each and every one of our amazing performing troubadours have lived, learned and lent to their lyrics. These are the songs of life, my friends, and they live on forever. We hope that, through The Neely G Festival of Music, Neely’s memory will also live on forever.

The festival is all about the music that makes us who we are. You will find yourself inside every line of every song. Come join us and our friends of the road on this amazing journey of friendship, fellowship and musical magic. Take a look at our amazing line up of headline performers so far and our stellar line up of local talent to be announced to you all very soon. We always try to pull out all of the stops to bring you the best performers that the industry has to offer. We also try to find that little something different, new and innovative whether it be a band of teenage performers starting their life in music or a format that is new to our region.

So if you have ever woken in the wee hours searching for the melody of your soul you will find it and so much more at the Neely G Festival of Music. If you have ever longed to belong in a communion of song, inspiration and spirit you will find it and so much more at The Neely G Festival of Music. We think we have it all covered this year so come along and I will meet you all again in the music.
